Meelad: Dalil from A hadith:

Spread the love

Meelad: Dalil from Ahadith:

The root and Asl is exist in Ahadith also. But you must read with justice beyond narrow mindedness.

The Prophet himself celebrated Meelad:

Beware! Our Prophet himself kept celebrate and rejoice on his birth day as in Sahih Muslim Book 006, Number 2606;

Abu Qatada Ansari (Allah be pleased with him) reported that Allah’s Messenger (May peace be upon him) was asked about fasting on Monday, whereupon he said: It is (the day) when I was born and revelation was sent down to me.

It is unconditionally declared from this Hadith to celebrate and rejoice on the birth of the Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him) and how to celebrate and rejoice there is a root given by the Prophet that is NafaliIbadah. Because Prophet’s fasting on his birthday is a form of Nafaliworship, so one can celebrate this day by any form of ibada.  One can fast or hold gatherings or provide food to the poor, all being acts of worship.

Muhammad himself celebrated the day of Musa

Muhammad himself didn’t only celebrated the day of Musa but ordered Ummah to celebrate as in Sahih Muslim, Volume 2, Page No. 147, Hadith No. 1130.

Ibn Abbas “Allah be pleased with him” reported: The Prophet “Allah’s blessing and peace be upon him” came to Madina and saw the Jews fasting on the tenth day of Muharram. They were asked about that. They replied: “This is the day, on which Allah made Moses and the children of Israel emerge victorious over Pharoah. So, we fast on it “OUT OF GLORIFICATION TO IT”. The Prophet “Allah’s blessing and peace be upon him” said: “We have more claim over Moses than you.” So, he ordered Muslims to fast on it.

Consider to be beyond prejudice that if the prophet himself gloried the day to venerate Musa and approved for Ummah then how is it Haram or Najaiz to venerate and rejoice on day when Prophet Muhammad (Peace and blessings be upon him) was born?

The Prophet prayed at birthplace of Eisa:

Hadrat Anas bin Malik narrates that Prophet (Peace be upon him) while mentioning his journey of Miraaj explains: Jibreel (a.s) asked me to get off from Buraak at Bethlehem and told me to say the prayer there, after which he said: Do you know where you have prayed (O Messenger of Allah)? You prayed at Bethlehem where Isa {Peace be upon him} “was born”.

Sunnanan Nasai’I  Volume 1, Page No. 241, Hadith No. 448.

Imam al-Bayhaqi (Allah be pleased with him) narrated this hadith with a different route too from another Sahabi called “Shaddad bin Aws. After narrating he said هذا إسناد صحيح  ThisSanad is “SAHIH” [al-Bayhaqi in Dalayl un Nubuwah (2/355-356)]

It is place to perceive: why did the Prophet prayed at birthplace of Eisa ? Undoubtedly because of a Prophet a place has become sanctuary thus the greatest messenger prayed there. Then if we celebrate and make the day in which the king of the Prophets was born important more than red letter day by good deeds is that Haram and against Islam in your point of view? Which religion do you follow a religion established by Allah via the Prophet or a religion invented by yourselves?
